It is all about you…

Yes you…the Manager. You influence an employee to perform or not. You influence employee effort and turnover. You influence employees’ responses with customers. You are the most significant person in each employee’s work life.

When you spend time with each employee, you have the ability of getting to know each employee and can then align the right employee with the right role. When you spend time with each employee, you learn what they like, how they think and what motivates them. You can then customize their jobs, provide performance feedback and help them invent a real future – one that includes their objectives and goals. So, you have the greatest influence on employees and their performance. Get to know each of your employees and use what you know to influence their performance and success. You are at the center of all employees’ success. Do you use this influence to help employees be their best?
